SOUTH TEXAS BIRTH ADVOCATES (STBA) PROMOTE PHYSIOLOGICAL BIRTH THROUGH EDUCATION. FURTHERMORE, STBA STRIVE TO PROTECT A WOMAN'S RIGHT TO:
· CHOOSE A PHYSIOLOGICAL BIRTH,
I.E., TO LABOR AND DELIVER THROUGH THE NATURAL BIRTH PROCESS;
· CHOOSE THE SETTING IN WHICH SHE GIVES BIRTH; AND
· HAVE ACCESS TO QUALITY MATERNITY CARE BY THE CARE PROVIDER OF HER OWN CHOOSING.
WE ENDEAVOR TO ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY RAISING COMMUNITY AWARENESS, PARTICIPATING IN LEGISLATIVE PROCESSES, AND EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH COMMUNITY RESOURCES."
